AI-POCALYPSE NOW!
Writer
I’ve had a few choice words about the rising tide of AI in filmmaking. Not because I’m a doomsayer, I’m deeply curious about it. I believe AI has the potential to be an incredible tool for the creative industries. Used right, it can strip away the drudgery, smooth out the chaos, and give us more time to do what we’re really here for: making bold, meaningful work.
But here’s the rub—when AI starts creeping into the fun part, the soul of the process, the dangerous, messy, human bit—that’s when I start asking questions. Shots Magazine brought me on to write a piece about exactly that. It stirred the pot enough to earn a spot in their Cannes print edition, and I’m proud of that.
I didn’t write it to slam the tech. I wrote it to spark a conversation, because if the future of creativity is up for grabs, we’d better start talking about who’s holding the pen.
