BAD VIBRATIONS

Writer/Producer/Creative Direction

Bad Vibrations was one of those rare, scrappy gems where constraint bred creativity. I co-wrote and produced the film alongside my long-time collaborator Matt Fitch. With a tight budget but a clear creative vision, we set out to make something lean, atmospheric, and undeniably sharp.

Starring Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Maddie Mills and Camilla Rutherford, the film follows a detective on the trail of a killer to a remote café—and into a mind-altering showdown with a woman known only as ‘Singer’.

Matt and I oversaw post-production ourselves, making sure the sound design hit just right and layering in extra story through every beat. We drew heavily on our background in advertising to stretch the look and feel well beyond the budget, keeping it slick and premium throughout. We even designed the poster ourselves, working once again with our long-time collaborator and photographer Ian Kirby.

The film premiered at Screamfest LA and was officially selected for both the New York City Horror Film Festival and The Shark Short Film Awards, a solid festival run that matched the ambition we poured into every frame.
